Overview
Technical summary
Created in 1984. By its own account it is a volunteer panel whose scientific work is independent. Congress has authorized the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to convene it since 1998, and ROR 027yjc737 gives AHRQ as its parent. ROR types it as a nonprofit, while the Task Force describes itself as a panel that AHRQ convenes, so no sector is recorded. Each recommendation receives a letter grade (A, B, C or D) or an I statement. This identity states nothing about any recommendation or grade.
