Arrhythmia (heart rhythm problems)
An arrhythmia means the heartbeat is too fast, too slow or uneven. Some changes in rate are normal, for example a faster beat during exercise. When an uneven rhythm keeps happening, the heart may be moving too little blood, and an arrhythmia left untreated can harm the heart, the brain or other organs. Medicines or procedures can often bring the rhythm under control.
