2024 ESC guidelines on elevated blood pressure and hypertension
The 2024 guideline from the European Society of Cardiology on elevated blood pressure and hypertension. It updates the society's 2018 guideline, which it issued with the European Society of Hypertension. The only text that could be read was the ESC's own short summary of key messages. Two claims drawn from that summary, on the new elevated-blood-pressure category and on the treatment target, are shown on the pages for blood pressure and for lowering blood pressure to a target. The full guideline was not read.
