## In plain language

A suggested order for reading this atlas, for someone who has had a heart attack and for their family. It starts with the warning signs and when to call for help, goes through the blood test that helps confirm a heart attack, the emergency stenting procedure and what a government health page says about recovery (lifestyle changes and a higher risk of another heart attack), and ends with the cardiac rehabilitation page. It is not medical advice. The pages read give no age limits, and the Cochrane review on the cardiac rehabilitation page covers adults with coronary heart disease only.

## Technical summary

Five steps. Each step explanation restates what the linked page's own records and sources say and adds no claim of its own. The last step links the cardiac rehabilitation page, and a companion path covers living well after a heart event. Sources are US government health pages (one cite-only, restated).
